More Fuel Flow For Your Dough
Need an increase in fuel pressure? Those factory fuel pumps don't always have the volume a high-performance engine needs. For this, RobbMc Performance Products has produced a mechanical fuel pump that bolts on in the stock location with no mods. While others may be running electric pumps on the street and strip either alone or augmenting a stock mechanical pump, you can enjoy the relative quiet and durability of a mechanical pump with a flow that outperforms the stock version. The 110-gph pump can feed up to 560 hp, while the 220 gph can go above 1,000 hp--so claims RobbMc. The 220 is also adjustable from 7 to 14 psi, while the 110 is set at a static 7 psi. Prices range from $200 for the 110 to $275 for the 220. They fit Pontiac 265-455 and Oldsmobile 260-455 sized engines.

Rocker 'N' Roll
We all want to squeeze a little more power and reliability from our engines. For the LS1/LS2 crowd, SLP has designed these new 1.85:1 ratio rocker arms. SLP claims a 12hp gain and a 10-percent increase in lift over the stock 1.7:1 arms with no other modifications. Installation is a bolt-on affair involving no valve cover alterations. These rocker arms come complete with new bolts, a roller bearing trunion, and a three-year/36,000-mile warranty. A kit of 16 arms costs $599.95, while one that includes new valve springs capable of handling the increased lift along with keepers and retainers is $984.95.

Accessorizing Reliably
Tin Indian Performance helps Poncho racers keep crank-driven accessories and the harmonic balancer spinning reliably with its new crank mandrel. Bolting directly to the harmonic balancer, just like a stock pulley system, your balancer remains attached to the crank by its factory-length bolt, unlike some other systems that use a long crank bolt to retain both the mandrel and the balancer, which may become overstressed. Custom CNC-machined out of 6061 aluminum, these crank mandrels are fully adjustable using locating spacers to ensure proper belt alignment. Custom spacers made to specific requirements are also available. Each order comes with one mandrel, one 3-inch deep-groove pulley, four alignment spacers, a snout cap, a snout bolt and cap screws to fit all traditional Pontiacs, and it has provisions to fit Big-Block Chevy applications. The price is $155 each.
