RAISING THE NITROUS BAR
It's time to evolve. In the past, nitrous systems have relied upon brass spray bars as a means of delivery to your engine. Zex has taken a step forward with its Perimeter Plate Nitrous System for Dominator carburetor-equipped engines.The new kit consists of a perimeter plate that sits on top of the manifold. Utilizing 12 injection points, bottled power reaches your engine in a more efficient manner, so claims the manufacturer. Paired with Cryo-Sync technology for cooler carburetor and manifold tract temperatures to promote a denser charge, the new Zex Perimeter Plate Nitrous System is tunable from 100 to 300 hp. The company's goal was to provide increased performance to handle modified LS1s while retaining driveability. This disc can be used with any high-end pressure plate Centerforce has to offer. If you're driving an '04-'05 GTO aggressively or have modified it for increased acceleration, cornering or braking, you may have encountered unibody flex. Should you decide to eliminate the compromised straight-line, cornering, or braking performance that is brought on by this condition, BMR can help with its subframe connectors. Crafted using 1.5 x 2 x 0.120 rectangular steel tubing and 0.25-inch laser-cut mounting plates, BMR's subframe connectors lock together five different structural areas. This design, the company says, "effectively triangulates the main rear suspension mount to the unibody, the rocker panels to the inner formed rails, and the whole thing to the front subframe." The design also "allows for full access to the cradle, even with the connectors welded in place." Stiffening the structure will enable your GTO to perform closer to its full potential.
